Strategy Assist

This guide will show you how to get the most out of Strategy Assist and start automating advice documents.

TL;DR

Here is a quick outline of the workflow from file note to RoA for those who just need a little point in the right direction.

• Run a client meeting in person, recorded with Paradino, or virtual, recorded with your preferred meeting platform.
• Upload or finish your recording, select a client and template, and your file note will be generated in 1-4 minutes.
• Head to Strategy Assist.
• [Optional] Start a new strategy, select Strategy Paper, and develop appropriate recommendations with our AI assistant, Athena, who will collect and extract information from reference material, calculate cashflow and tax, and suggest recommendations based on your client's situation and the agreed scope of advice.
• Start a new strategy, select Record of Advice, and a template.
• Athena will ask you to confirm use of Paradino generated documents, e.g. file note or strategy paper, or optionally upload new reference material, including an external file note, fact find, or a product comparison.
• Athena will then extract recommendations from your reference material, allow you to refine it on screen until you are happy with the subject matter and wording. (For a no change RoA, you can skip this step and confirm that there are no new recommendations).
• She will then populate your selected RoA template, meticulously filling out client and adviser details, inserting text into placeholders, selecting appropriate text, and retaining disclaimers.
• And your done. Read over it and ask her to make small updates if needed.

The basics

Strategy Assist is a collaborative, AI-assisted workspace that helps automate the creation of advice and advice documentation. Athena, Paradino's AI agent, will guide you through a workflow to gather and extract information about your client, along with reference material, with the goal of generating accurate and compliant advice documentation. She can use her knowledge base, and key information about the client including ages, employment status, financial situation, goals and objectives, and the scope of advice to suggest appropriate recommendations for the client.

You can interact with Athena with the following:

• Text input
• Voice audio (up to 10min recording time per request)
• File upload (pdf, docx*, csv, html, txt)

*Paradino converts docx to html for Athena to process.

She will guide the conversation and has some clear boundaries, but will ultimately take direction from you if you need to adjust the process to your needs.

Once the documentation is generated you can update it by asking Athena to do it for you or by using the document editor. The collaborative workspace allows both you and Athena to make updates to the latest version of the document.

Knowledge base

Athena, has access to documents generated in Paradino, such as file notes and strategy papers. She also has the latest superannuation strategies and limits, and tax rates at her disposal.

Developing appropriate recommendations

To use Athena to suggest appropriate recommendations for your client, start a new strategy and select Strategy Paper. This will kick off the following workflow:

1. Confirm and upload reference material, including file note, fact find or product comparison.
2. Confirm how this information will be used and populated in the template.
3. Calculate current cashflow and tax position. In this step, you can provide Athena with any additional information she needs or just provide a surplus to skip the calculation.
4. Suggest appropriate recommendations (including alternative strategies considered). Each recommendation will be linked to a goal and detail why it is relevant to the client. Athena will ask you to refine and finalise the recommendations before continuing.
5. Generate a strategy paper document for use in further research or as input into an advice request or Record of Advice.

Advice Requests and Records of Advice

To create an advice request or Record of Advice, start a new strategy, select the strategy type and choose a template. This will kick off the following workflow:

1. Confirm and upload reference material, including file note, pre-generated strategy paper, fact find or product comparison.
2. Confirm how this information will be used and populated in the template.
3. Confirm recommendations extracted from the reference material, allowing you to refine and finalise.
4. Generate the advice document.

Best practices

We are still discovering Athena's true capability with new use cases arising every week, but here are some current best practices to help you get the most out of Strategy Assist:

• Use the minimum amount of reference material needed to product the correct outcome.
  • Prefer product comparison outputs over product disclosure statements.
  • Prefer fact finds over multiple bank statements
• Ensure your reference has minimual gaps and data discrepancies.
  • Avoid a file note and fact find with contradicting salary and super contribution information.
• For scaled advice to existing clients, such as product switches or rebalances, go straight to a Record of Advice.
  • Simply use a file note, upload a super switch product comparison and generate a Record of Advice in a few minutes.
• You may need to ask Athena to add nuanced recommendations such as transition to retirement strategies or re-contribution strategies.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Athena responds with "Sorry, I'm having trouble processing your request..."

Athena is still learning and can be occasionally overwhelmed by your request, especially with extensive reference material and complex templates. If you receive this message, start a new strategy and try again. If the problem persists, contact support@paradino.ai.

Issue: My custom template isn't showing up when I go to Start New Strategy

Your custom template must have a type of Advice Request, Strategy Paper or RoA for it to be selectable in Strategy Assist.

Issue: I uploaded a word document (docx) as a reference material but Athena doesn't extract information from the charts

In order for Athena to process docx files, Paradino converts them first to html, and due to input token limits, does not convert images. If you want your images or charts to be part of the input, convert your docx to pdf using Microsoft Word.
