Connecting to Microsoft 365
Watch a full walk-through of connecting Microsoft 365 to Paradino and syncing your client documents.
Step 1: Connect Microsoft 365 to Paradino
- From the main dashboard, navigate to Connectors in the left-hand sidebar.
- Locate the Microsoft 365 integration box and click Connect.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to authenticate.
If you are not your organisation's Microsoft Administrator, you will need them to log into entra.microsoft.com to grant consent for the Paradino application before you can successfully connect.
Step 2: Link a Client Folder (OneDrive or SharePoint)
Once connected, you need to tell Paradino where a specific client's files live.
- Navigate to the specific client's Workspace.
- Click on Manage connections (found by clicking the three horizontal dots
...in the top right corner of the client details section). - A modal window will appear. Paste the direct URL link to the client's specific folder from your OneDrive or SharePoint into the Folder link field.
- Click Validate (optional, to ensure the link works), and then click Link. The folder is now successfully connected to that client's profile.
Step 3: Sync Generated Documents to the Cloud
You can manually push a generated document to Microsoft 365, or configure auto-sync to do it automatically.
Manual Sync
- After generating a document (such as a Fact Find or Strategy document), open the document editor.
- In the toolbar above the text, locate the Cloud Storage icon (a cloud with an arrow pointing up).
- Click this icon to instantly save the generated document directly into the linked Microsoft 365 client folder. A "Document saved" confirmation will appear in the bottom right corner.
Auto-Sync (Admin Settings)
This feature requires the user to have the Owner role in Paradino.
To save time, you can configure Paradino to automatically sync documents to Microsoft 365.
- Click your profile icon and select User Settings.
- Find the Auto-Sync option and toggle it to ON.
How it works: With this setting enabled, whenever you open a generated document for the first time, or view an updated version, Paradino will automatically save a copy to the client's linked OneDrive or SharePoint folder. Documents are synced on view, not in the background, so simply opening the document triggers the sync.
Step 4: Sync Client Documents into the Paradino Knowledge Base
You can pull files from Microsoft 365 into Paradino so the AI can use them as context.
- In the client's Workspace, navigate to the Knowledge base tab.
- Click the Sync from OneDrive/SharePoint button.
- A "Sync Preview" window will pop up, listing all the supported documents found in the linked folder.
- Click Sync X changes.
- The documents will appear in the list with a status of "processing." Once the status changes to "completed" or "digested," the AI agent can use these files to answer questions and generate advice.
Step 5: Generate Summaries Directly from Teams Recordings
- Navigate to the Client Meetings tab from the left sidebar.
- Below the manual meeting creation area, you will see a section titled Teams Recordings.
- Paradino automatically pulls in recordings. By default, it uses the "Filter by client" toggle to only show recordings associated with the email addresses saved in the client's Workspace profile. Ensure their emails are up to date.
- Select a Template and Meeting Date at the top, find the desired recording in the list, and click the black Generate button next to it to create a meeting summary.
You can toggle "Filter by client" to the OFF position to see a list of all Teams recordings across your account from the past two weeks.
Current Limits & Important Notes
- Knowledge Base Sync Limit: When syncing documents from Microsoft 365 into the Paradino Knowledge Base, only the 20 most recent documents per connected client folder are supported. There is no limit on syncing generated documents from Paradino to your Microsoft 365 folder.
- Manual Re-Syncing Required (For Now): Changes made to files in your OneDrive or SharePoint folder (such as adding or modifying documents) are not detected automatically yet. To update the knowledge base with these new changes, navigate to the client's Workspace > Knowledge base tab and click the Re-sync button.
Auto-Sync for Knowledge Base is coming soon! An update that will automatically detect and sync cloud storage changes into your Paradino Knowledge Base is currently in development.
