Settings

Settings is where you customise how Paradino works for you: your account and sign-in security, your adviser and licensee details, email tone, document formatting, notifications, and how much help you want in chat. Everything on this page applies to you alone.

Getting there

Click your profile icon in the top right navigation bar and choose Settings.

Saving changes

Settings is organised into tabs. Save your changes by clicking Save changes in the footer. Any tab with unsaved edits shows a small dot next to its name, and the footer tells you how many tabs have unsaved changes.

The last few tabs — Plan & members, Organisation, Teams, and Move clients — change things for your whole practice rather than for you, and are covered separately. If you don't hold the Owner or Practice manager role they appear with a padlock.

Identity

Account

Your personal details: your name, profile photo, and the email address you sign in with. The name and photo appear across Paradino.

Adviser and licensee details

Add your adviser and licensee details in plain English. Paradino's AI agent, Athena, uses these to populate your advice documents, including Advice Requests and Records of Advice.

  • Adviser disclosure text: include your name, ARN, CAR, contact details, and any qualifications you want cited. This is used in all generated documents.
  • Licensee disclosure text: your licensee or group details. Include your fee and service agreement text so Athena can customise your advice disclosures.

Plain English is fine. Paradino formats these for each output. Each field holds up to 2,000 characters, and both are optional.

Security

Everything about how you sign in lives on the Security tab. Each action here applies straight away, so there is no Save changes button, and Paradino may ask you to re-enter your password or verification code before a sensitive change.

Password

Change the password you sign in with. If your account has no password yet, because you signed up with a passkey or a social login, you can set one here.

Sign out of all other devices is on by default when you change your password, which is the safer choice if you think someone else may have had access.

Two-step verification

Require a code from an authenticator app, such as Microsoft or Google Authenticator, whenever you sign in. Click Set up and follow the prompts.

Once it is enabled you can also Regenerate codes to get a fresh set of one-time backup codes for signing in without your authenticator. Store them somewhere safe: each code works once, generating new codes invalidates the old ones, and they are not shown again after you close the dialog.

Disabling two-step verification also stops your existing backup codes from working.

Passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with your device's fingerprint, face, or screen lock instead of a password. It works automatically as a second factor and is stronger than a password on its own.

Click Add passkey and confirm on your device. Paradino lists each passkey with the date it was added and when it was last used, and you can remove one at any time.

Active devices

Everywhere your account is currently signed in, with the device, browser, and location for each. Your current session is marked. If you see something you do not recognise, sign that device out from here and change your password.

Emails

The Emails tab controls how Paradino writes emails for you.

Email tone and writing style

Add plain-English instructions for your personal or practice tone and writing style, for example, "Your tone should be professional, and your writing style should be concise and to the point. Use Australian English spelling." Paradino applies these instructions when it drafts emails. The field holds up to 500 characters.

Auto-draft follow-up emails

Turn this on to have Paradino draft a reply in your mailbox whenever a client with email sync on emails you. It's available on Pro and requires Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace to be connected. Enabling it also switches on a notification that lets you know when a draft is ready.

Formatting

The Formatting tab controls how your generated documents look.

Auto-generate style guide

Upload an example Word document (.docx) and Paradino will automatically generate a style guide from it, so your meeting summaries and advice documents match your branding. Paradino captures your fonts, headings, table styles, and page margins, along with everything in your headers and footers (including logos, dates, and page numbers). It reads only the formatting, not the words you've written (body content is discarded after processing), so you can safely use a document you already have as your example.

Choose a .docx file (up to 5 MB) and click Upload. Paradino shows what it applied (and anything it skipped), and you can download, replace, or remove your style guide at any time. Removing a style guide is confirmed first: until you upload a new example, your documents fall back to Paradino's default styling.

Uploading and removing a style guide save immediately. You don't need to use the Save changes button for these.

Prefer to build one yourself? You can also create a style guide from scratch.

Notifications

Choose which generated content you're notified about, and where those notifications are sent. Notifications fire when a piece of generated content becomes ready.

Events: turn individual notifications on or off:

  • Meeting summaries: when a meeting summary is generated.
  • Recording processing: when browser recording audio finishes processing.
  • SOA/ROA: when an advice document is drafted or regenerated.
  • Advice presentations: when a client-facing slide deck is ready.
  • Knowledge base: when a document finishes syncing to your knowledge base.
  • Completed forms: when a form is completed.

Channels: where enabled notifications are delivered:

  • In-app: the bell icon in the top navigation, plus browser push where supported.
  • Email: sent to your registered email address.

Scope: limit notifications to a subset of generated content in your organisation:

  • My adviser content: content generated for clients and documents you own.
  • Supported advisers: content for advisers you're explicitly assigned to support.
  • Entire organisation: matching generated content across the active organisation.
  • Selected advisers: only content generated for the advisers you choose.

The scopes available to you depend on your role and your organisation's sharing settings, so you may not see every option. If a scope you previously chose is no longer available, Paradino lets you know and asks you to pick another.

Advisers: when your scope is Selected advisers, choose which advisers' generated content to watch from the list.

Chat coach

Dino, the Para-dino, watches how you and Athena work together and offers short tips on getting better answers, like attaching the right documents up front. Choose how much you want to see:

  • On: Dino pops up with the occasional tip while you chat, then tucks himself away. This is the default.
  • Always visible: Dino stays in the corner of the chat and speaks up when he has a tip.
  • Off: no Dino and no tips.

Owners and Practice managers see one more card on this tab, controlling Dino's coin game for the whole practice. That one is covered with the other organisation settings.

Troubleshooting

I cannot see the Plan & members, Organisation, Teams, or Move clients tabs

Those tabs are only available to the Owner and Practice manager roles, and show a padlock for everyone else. Ask an Owner in your organisation to make the change for you.

A scope I had chosen for notifications has disappeared

The scopes on offer depend on your role and on whether your organisation shares clients and documents. If either changes, a scope you were using can stop being available; Paradino tells you and asks you to pick another.

My style guide did not change how a document looks

Paradino reads formatting from your example document, not its words, and reports anything it had to skip when you upload. Download the generated style guide, adjust it in Word, and upload that back in as the new example.

Paradino is not drafting replies to client emails

Auto-draft follow-up emails needs the Pro plan, a connected Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account, and email sync turned on for that particular client.
