RetireMap Connector

Use Athena to create a RetireMap plan from client information already in Paradino, then use RetireMap projection output in Strategy Assist during advice preparation.

The RetireMap Connector helps you move from client information, to cashflow scenario, to advice generation in a more connected workflow.

At launch, Athena can create the base plan using information already held in Paradino. You can then refine scenarios in RetireMap and use the projection output in Strategy Assist when preparing advice documents.

Before you start

Before using the RetireMap Connector, make sure you have:

  • A RetireMap account
  • Your RetireMap API key
  • A client with relevant information already available in Paradino

How to connect RetireMap

To connect RetireMap:

  1. Create an API key in RetireMap integrations, by clicking the Paradino integration.
  2. In Paradino, open Connectors from the left-hand side bar.
  3. Locate the RetireMap Connector.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Paste in your API key and save.

Once connected, RetireMap will be available inside the client Workspace.

Creating a RetireMap plan

Once RetireMap is connected, open a client Workspace and ask Athena to create a RetireMap scenario. There is also a one-click prompt in "Ask something else".

For example:

Create a RetireMap scenario using latest information we have on this client. Use the latest fact find and/or file note. Also search the client knowledge base for relevant financial information.

Athena will review the information already available in Paradino and use it to prepare the base plan. Depending on the information available, this may include:

  • Employment details
  • Superannuation balances
  • Financial assets and liabilities
  • Other relevant client information from meeting summaries, advice documents, or the Knowledge Base

This usually takes around 20 to 30 seconds.

How it works today

At launch, the RetireMap Connector supports plan creation inside the workflow.

Athena can create the plan using client information already held in Paradino. From there, you can open the plan in RetireMap, refine scenarios, and generate the projections you want to use.

Once the scenario work is complete in RetireMap, Paradino can pull the projection output back into Strategy Assist for use in advice generation.

Current workflow

  1. Ask Athena to create the RetireMap scenario.
  2. Review and refine the scenario in RetireMap.
  3. Return to Strategy Assist.
  4. Use RetireMap projection output in the advice workflow.

Using RetireMap output in Strategy Assist

Once a scenario has been prepared in RetireMap, Strategy Assist can use the projection output during advice generation.

This allows Athena to:

  • Retrieve the relevant scenario output
  • Use cashflow projections in the document generation
  • Interpret first-year cashflow figures
  • Help identify items such as surpluses, distributions, or required contributions for adviser review

This output can then be used as part of SoA drafting in Strategy Assist.

Best practices

To get the best result from the RetireMap Connector:

  • Make sure the client file is up to date before creating the base plan.
  • Use consolidated client information where possible.
  • Review the scenario in RetireMap before moving into advice drafting.
  • Use only the relevant projection output for the advice being prepared.
  • Treat Athena's output as workflow support, not a replacement for adviser review.

Troubleshooting

The RetireMap Connector is not appearing

Check that your API key has been added correctly in the Connectors tab.

Athena cannot create the base plan

Check that the client file contains enough relevant information for Athena to work with, including meeting summaries, advice documents, or supporting files in the Knowledge Base.

My scenario changes are not reflected in Strategy Assist

Make sure the scenario has been updated and saved in RetireMap before returning to Paradino.

Can Athena update RetireMap scenarios directly?

Not yet. At launch, Athena supports base plan creation, while scenario refinement still happens in RetireMap.
